Ayeeeee! How is everyone doing?!
My oh my I have been all around North America WORKING like the rent was due last weekend!
I was travelling and moving into a new place at the same time and it was all very crazy but God saw me through.
I was travelling for both my jobs- my day job and Zuvaa. Let's talk about my Zuvaa assignment because it's more exciting!
When people hear "corporate" they, for some reason, think and gravitate towards sober colors such as black, grey and white. These are all classic combos and great for the more conservative work place BUT it never hurts to toss in some color here and there, especially with temperatures rising.
When my I laid my eyes on this H&M midi dress, the first thing that came to mind was broken glass. I fell in love with the print and color and made the final decision to purchase it when I saw how flattering it was on my figure!
Mind you, as mentioned in previous posts, I have noticed less elasticity in my mid section and have resulted to sometimes wearing spanx but all in all, this dress was a great fit!
Isn't it funny how during the winter, if we experience 0 degrees we whip out the skirts and minimize the clothing but during the Fall, if temperatures drop below 10 it's like the Ice Age just begun and folks step out in layers, ready for battle?
Well that was the case with this outfit!
I don't know about you but I've been so motivated to get my life in check and on point!
It may be partially thanks to the fact that I cleared off a huge chunk of my debt towards the end of last year and have been given a clearer vision of what God wants me to do.
Hello hello!
Hehehe, I decided to re-emerge before the end of the first month of 2016! I told myself no way I am leaving January with just 1 post- so here we are! I won't even lie, the cold de-motivates me from doing any sort of shoot. In addition to juggling 2 jobs, I was also aggressively filling out Grad school applications and anyone who has been through this knows just how time-consuming this can be. From the 5 page statements of interest to the writing samples, forms to fill etc, I had a lot on my hands.

I told y'all I would put in more effort to post more often right? Well 1 of my goals is being accomplished so far :)
Being the budget fashionista I am without a sugar daddy nor rich oga, I am always always looking for very cute, trendy and unique pieces that are affordable-even for the college student!
Arghhh!!! I did what I told myself I wouldn't do-I posted WAY.TOO.LITTLE!
What's sad is I think about the blog every single day and sometimes tell myself okay, today I'll sit down and post, even it's just a sentence and pictures but then the e-mails and calls come in, I'm leaving work late, I have places to go to and life just gets in the way and all of sudden it's a month since I posted! NO! This cannot continue in 2016! POST MORE Brenda!
I have so many outfits to share (which I do on my Instagram) but I always love having a base- a landing of sorts.
Enough moping! How are you? How was the year? Well for me, it was a great one, I won't lie! Tears were shed-both of joy and of sorrow and frustration. I'm super excited for 2016 and all the travelling I'm anticipating!
